The Dépor Innovation Center Start-UP Challenge was celebrated with the aim of finding entrepreneurs with the most innovative ideas, projects, tools and companies whose main mission is to transform the sports industry with an unique technological solution.
Tabalú is an innovative company that through gastronomy, developed based on nutritional strategies, improves the sport performance of elite athletes.
With the main objective of valuing the entrepreneurial fabric and offering a vehicle to promote and give visibility to the most innovative projects, together with those that build the future of sports organizations from the digital transformation, it was held at the ABANCA headquarters Insurance in A Coruña, the 1st Edition of the Dépor Innovation Center Startup Challenge.
With more than 40 projects received, the final day presented the 10 finalists chosen from all the valued proposals. Among the finalist companies in the contest was Tabalú, an innovative company that through gastronomy, developed based on nutritional strategies, improves the sports performance of elite athletes.
Such solid arguments with extending the sports career of the elite athlete, the high profitability, both for the club and for the footballer, and the ability to integrate into life, routines and sports calendar improving the sports performance of the footballer were decisive at the time to get the award.
In addition, Tabalú has an optimized system that allows it to replicate its kitchens, so that it has the capacity to operate in all Spanish cities. It has a team of chefs who work hand in hand with the Tabalú team of nutritionists, who prepare menus that are not only efficient but also delicious that not only the elite athlete but also those around them can enjoy.
This initiative launched by the Dépor Innovation Center, RC Deportivo's laboratory for technological innovation in sports, Abanca Innova, Galicia Sports 360 and FundingBox, places Galicia at the forefront in terms of technology applied to sport.
The 10 finalist companies that presented their projects in 5-minute presentations were: Proteckthor (First place), YBVR (Second place), Neurocess Limited (Third place -shared-), Boldest, Dairus- Inc., Mentiness, New Stream Ltd, Notarify and Sensiball VR.
